Silver Fern Air Race Cancelation

The Silver Fern Air Race will not operate.  The event was unable to attract sponsorship nor entries.  A large number of people were contacted during the formulation of the event, and an attempt has been made to communicate the cancelation, however this may not have covered everybody. The company running the Silver Fern Air Race has ceased operating and all Directors resigned, however enquiries to address any areas of concern or questions can be sent as follows.

The SILVER FERN AIR RACE from Hong Kong to Christchurch overflies some great locations along the way. Then an extension over the South Island to Queenstown and Te Anau on the edge of the Fiordland National Park.

Race entry is open to corporate jets, airliners, military aircraft and high performance turbo props. There is also a cruising class for any aircraft that want to be part of the event but not participate as racers.

The SILVER FERN AIR RACE was created as a world class air racing event commencing straight after the final of the Hong Kong Rugby 7’s.

The destinations offer extensive business and investment potential. The race participants have opportunities to meet destination mayors and influential government and business leaders. There is the opportunity to view the most amazing scenery in the world. Experience golf, hunting, fishing, guided walks, fiords, lakes, mountains, while staying at Luxury Lodges.

 Experience the culture of the Maori, New Zealand's original indigenous people in Aotearoa – The Land of the Long White Cloud.

Race participants are encouraged to  donate to the CHRISTCHURCH CATHEDRAL REBUILD APPEAL.   Goods which could be auctioned at the Awards Dinner, or donations are both acceptable.
